SISTER ANNAMMA M.J.
MRS. BINCY JOHN
Our school is ideally located and safely withdrawn from the din and bustle of town. It is about 2.5 km. away from Ezhammile (Adoor – Chavara route) and 3.5km away from Nediyavila (Kottarakara – Bharanikav route). It is 13kms away from Adoor, connected by network of roads to nearby cities and pilgrim centres.
Our vision is to build a strong foundation for value based education to bring up children as real and responsible citizens of our country. The school aims at empowering the children of the poor and illiterate, achieving academic excellence along with systematic training in sports, painting, music, dance and other co-curricular activities tending to leadership qualities. We pay individual attention to each student and the class strength is limited accordingly.
1To assist the student in assimilating knowledge through the fundamental process of learning.
2To stimulate an awareness of moral and cultural values.
3 To train the student to use their time wisely.
4 To inculcate qualities like courtesy, gentlemanliness, mutual respect, self confidence, patriotism, civic sense, responsibility, love, compassion and fear of God.
5 To prepare the child to become an independent and self reliant member of the society.
The educational effect and activities of the school have been organised and purposefully directed towards achieving the above goals.
The school follows CBSE syllabus. The medium of instruction is English. The first language is Malayalam. English is taught as second language. Hindi is offered as third language.
Children who have completed three years as on 31st May are offered Admission to Play Class
The Academic year is from June to March. The school will have the following sections.
The School functions five days a week – from Monday to Friday.
Notice for withdrawal of a student from the school must be given in writing. However Fee once paid will not be refunded.
Irregular attendance, habitual negligence in school work, dishonesty, obscenity in word or act, serious misconduct or threats inside or outside the school may cause removal of the pupil.
85% attendance is required for considering promotion to higher classes. However the Head of Institution may condone another 10% on production of Medical Certificate. In the event of a student being late to school or absent from school, the absence record must be filled in and sent on his/her return to school. All absence must be documented in the School Hand Book. The school does not encourage children to be taken early or brought late to the school. On unavoidable circumstances the parent must take permission from the Principal.
On all working days:
12.30 pm to 1.30 pm
3.30pm to 4.30pm
Parents and guardians are not allowed to see their children or meet the teachers during class time.
9.30 AM TO 10.30AM
2.30 PM TO 3.30 PM
Parents who wish to have recognized T.C should apply well in advance in the month of January each year.
The school fee is to be remitted by the students on or before 10th every month without fine.
Full uniform is compulsory for all students. Wearing a uniform is a sign of identification with the school community. The uniform also helps to reduce competition in dress as a result of contemporary style. Student should arrive at school and leave school in full uniform. Valuable (gold, silver etc.) ornaments should not be worn in the school.
The school conducts four formative assessments and two summative assessments. Besides this weekly tests are also conducted regularly. Pupils are required to appear for all the examination and unit tests. If a pupil is not able to attend any of the examinations the parent shall produce a leave letter stating the reason. No re-exam will be conducted and the marks of other examination will be considered for promoting the pupil to the next standard. An internal assessment carrying 10 marks will be there for all the subjects.
Progress Reports are sent to the parents to enable them to make an assessment of the progress of their wards in studies. Hence they are requested to check the said reports carefully, sign and send them back to the school the next working day.
